Riad Sapphire

In a city with over 800 riads to choose from, we understand how difficult it is to get it right and to find a luxury riad with charm and individuality. Riad Sapphire & Spa has exactly that and not only is it close to the main square, Place Jemaa el Fna, it boasts a private hammam, spa room, roof terrace and pool as well as offering cooking courses. All guests have use of a mobile phone during their stay, making first-time visitors to Marrakech feel more at ease.
If visiting Marrakech for the first time, we recommend at least a 3 day stay at Riad Sapphire & Spa. There is so much to see and do in and around the Red City that it is impossible to get a real taste for it in less time, and that is without venturing to the nearby Atlas Mountains, which is a whole other story. Your hit list has to include a traditional Moroccan hammam which can be enjoyed at Riad Sapphire and which leaves you refreshed and squeaky clean. Next you should definitely visit the souks and perhaps hire a guide for a morning to get your bearings and learn the tricks of the trade when it comes to haggling in the souks which, for first time visitors, can be a little intimidating. The Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech is one of the most visited places, a garden which took the French painter Jaques Majorelle 40 year to create. Do note that there is also a fab little shop just opposite the entrance of the gardens, definitely worth a visit. Allow yourself some time to relax in the courtyard with a traditional mint tea, without which you really haven't experienced Marrakech!
Riad Sapphire has its own restaurant which serves lunch and dinner to hotel guests. Dine under the stars on the roof terrace or in the loggia or courtyard. European and Moroccan dishes are available. The reputation of restaurants in Marrakech frequently changes so ask the charming team of staff which are currently recommended during your stay.
