About this Chic Retreat
Riad Mabrouka Marrakech is a small boutique hotel on a quiet side street in the old Medina, minutes from the excitement of Djemaa El Fna Square. With intimate lounge areas on each floor, a spacious courtyard and rooftop terrace with views of the majestic Atlas Mountains, guests of this 6-room riad are guaranteed a quiet spot to relax after a day in the bustling souks as well as a warm atmosphere in which to meet with new friends.
Laurent, the passionate owner, who Lulu met up with on her recent trip, has recently re-clothed this chic retreat, one of the first to open before Marrekech's riad renaissance, and rooms are well-appointed with sumptuous Oriental and African fabrics, antique furnishings, contemporary paintings and photos of the local area. Add to this a rooftop hammam for a spot of pampering, a wonderful in-house chef and team of friendly staff and this is the perfect resting place from the bustle of Marrakech's lively streets.
Accommodation
Riad Mabrouka Marrakech is a small affair with just 2 suites, 2 junior suites & 2 rooms, each individually named and decorated. Rooms are decked out in Moroccan carpets in deep reds and light blues, luxurious sheets in alluring purples and soft pinks, carved furnishings and coloured Moroccan lamps that cast atmospheric light across the rooms. All rooms have tadelakt bathrooms with either a bath or large shower, bathrobes and orange blossom scented bath products.
The Tanger suite has a king size bed (2m by 2m) which can separate into twins, and other rooms have large beds, some which also divide into twins. The Zanzibar suite has a lounge which looks over the patio and the Douala junior suite has a lovely terrace and lounge. The Bamako suite is beautifully decorated in Berber style with flourishing plants on the suite's private patio. All rooms apart from the Grenade room are air-conditioned.
Activities
The Riad Mabrouka Marrakech hammam offers traditional treatments such as the soft soap body scrub and purified clay body poultice in the private steam-bath cubicle. Face & body massages, pedicures and nail treatments are offered on the treatment menu. Games, books, and magazines are available in the library which has a TV & DVD player and WiFi is available in the communal areas.
The riad is perfectly placed to visit the exciting Djemaa el Fna square with its snake charmers and orange juice vendors by day, and Chleuh dancing-boys, story-tellers & magicians by evening when the square fills with food-stalls. Just 2 minutes from this small luxury hotel is the 19th-century Bahia Palace.
Dining
Breakfast is served in tents with awe-inspiring views of the Atlas Mountains. Moroccan inspired lunch and dinner can also be arranged with one days notice, although there are plenty of exciting places to eat in the Medina with huge olive and fruit markets in the souks and plenty of stalls and restaurants to choose from.
Rates
Rates at Riad Mabrouka Marrakech are per room per night and include breakfast and all taxes. Children aged 0-2 will be free of charge and baby cots are provided on request. Children aged 2-15 years will be charged EUR 40 and can stay in Douala and Bamako only. There is a minimum stay of 4 nights over Christmas. Exclusive rental is available for a minimum 3 nights stay for a maximum of 12 guests. All reservations must be confirmed with a one night prepayment deposit.

Cancellation policy
In case of late cancellation, the following fees will apply: Between December 1st and May 31st, cancellations must be made 28 days prior to arrival or 50% of the total stay will be charged (with a minimum of 1 night charged). Between June 1st and November 30th, cancellations must be made 14 days prior to arrival or 50% of the total stay will be charged (with a minimum of 1 night charged). No shows will be charged the entire stay and early departure or reduction of stay will be charged in full.
