About this Chic Retreat
Situated in the old quarter of Moqf in the heart of the Marrakech Medina, Dar Darma is the latest luxury riad to hit the Marrakech riad scene. Recently restored & renovated, this 18th-century riad has retained many of its original features; hand painted wooden ceilings, ornate plasterwork and antique doors. As with all traditional 'Dar' (house), Dar Darma has a courtyard with water feature which leads onto the Patio rooms and a shaded seating area. The personal, yet informal service at Dar Darma, along with the effortless style of the interiors has made it one of the most sought after luxury riads in Marrakech, even by the most demanding of guests!
Accommodation
The 2 sumptuous apartments (with 2 bedrooms) have their own fireplace and luxurious private bathrooms whilst the 4 en-suite patio rooms are very light and spacious and enjoy a cool position on the first or ground floor. All of the accommodation at this luxury riad exudes a natural style that cleverly combines ancient with modern.
Activities
Dar Darma is one of the few luxury riads that has a pool on the roof, though small, it enjoys spectacular views of Marrakech. There are several terraces with shaded areas and a roof terrace with loungers. After a days shopping at the souks (which are just a few minutes walk away), guests can enjoy a traditional and exhilirating hammam.
Dining
Some guests come to Dar Darma because of its exemplary cuisine - lunch and dinner are prepared on request. If you have the time, why not enjoy being shown a few culinary secrets by the talented chefs.
Rates
Rates at Dar Darma are per room per night including breakfast, private transfers to and from Marrakech airport and for exclusive rental only, dinner on arrival. Rates exclude taxes of 10%. Half-board accommodation is available at an additional EUR 35 per person excluding beverages. Extra beds for under 14 year olds are EUR 30 per day and for over 14 year olds are EUR 50 per day. An additional charge of 20% applies for stays from 01.04.2010 - 05.04.2010 and from 29.04.2010 to 03.05.2010. A minimum stay of 4 nights applies from 01.04.2010 - 05.04.2010, 29.04.2010 - 03.05.2010 and 24.12.2010 - 09.01.2011. Dar Darma will be closed from 13.07.2010 - 28.07.2010 for the summer break.
