Casa de Madrid is the second remarkable experience in small luxury hotels for Dona Marta Medina. After the prestigious Casa de Carmona in Seville whose success opened a new horizon for Spanish lodging the Casa de Madrid is a pioneer in its field.

Each guest enjoys the sensation of being in a beautiful private home with all the services of a fine small chic hotel. Casa de Madrid is located on the second floor of an 18th-century building in front of the Royal Opera House and next to the Royal Palace.

Dona Marta Medina bought Casa de Madrid in a state of ruined elegance with only 1 bathroom and no heating in the servants quarters. She has restored it maintaining each room's former size, maintaining the quality of space rather than the quantity of rooms. Exquisite detail and a professional devotion to service are combined to created the traditional lifestyle of a Spanish Grandee at this very special chic retreat.

Accommodation

Casa de Madrid has 1 suite, 4 deluxe double rooms, 1 superior double and 1 single all of them with an en-suite bathroom. Each one has retained its former proportions and has been decorated in a distinct character inspired from Dona Marta's travels throughout the world. The living room features a Roman fresco while other spaces represent India, Greece and Syria. Each one of them is furnished with antiques which gives the house a sophisticated and aristocratic atmosphere. Sleep among the green leaves of the newly decorated room 4 with its calm, earthy design.

Visit the many museums Madrid has to offer, view a performance at the Royal Opera House next door or simply soak up the capitals buzzing atmosphere

Reservations can be made by the hotel at any of Madrid's restaurants.

Rates

Rates at Casa de Madrid are per room per night and includes continental breakfast and free internet connection. 8% taxes not included. Extra beds are charged at EUR 100 per night and cots EUR 50. Discounts apply to solo occupancy rates. Well-behaved small pets are accepted at an extra charge of EUR 50 (+8% tax) per night. A 30% deposit is required to confirm the booking.
