About this Chic Retreat

The Fox Club is a small boutique hotel, members club, bar and restaurant located along a quiet side-street in Mayfair, London; for those who want the luxury, charm and perks of a London club without the stuffiness of some of London's private establishments. Relaxation and fun are the order of the day, with an inviting mix of traditional style and contemporary design that fits perfectly in this 18th-century town house. This charming private club is named after former resident, Charles Fox, a renowned statesman and civil liberty campaigner who lived here with his mistress-then-wife, Mrs Armistead, passionately drinking, gambling and enjoying the finer things in life. Indulge yourself at this libertarian private club, perfectly placed for business and pleasure alike, complete with a restaurant and fabulous bar.

Accommodation

There are 9 individually-decorated rooms at the Fox Club, each named after one of Mrs Armistead's lovers. A deep sleep is guaranteed with luxurious double-sprung mattresses, thick-weave Egyptian cotton sheets and sumptuous bath products. Rooms are decorated in fine fabrics and classic print wallpapers with upholstered chairs and open fireplaces - a wonderful blend of traditional and contemporary styles. The marble-effect en-suite bathrooms have both showers & baths and Molton Brown bath products, towels & bathrobes are all provided. All rooms can have a TV & DVD player on request and there is a mini-bar and tea & coffee making facilities in every room.

Activities

Guests can meet in the intimate Fox Club Bar which serves great cocktails and a good list of wines and champagnes for those special occasions. Located right by Green Park Tube, a short walk from Hyde Park, Park Lane and Pall Mall and within easy reach of Central London, the best of London's sights, shopping and museums are within easy reach. Guests can get concessional rates at Berkeley Square's Fitness First gym and also receive a 10% discount on all treatments in Beauty Essence a minute's walk from this chic retreat.

Dining

The Fox Club Restaurant serves a mouth-watering menu of classic dishes with a modern twist. Try shepherd's pie with sauté peas or grilled lamb cutlets and smoked bacon with parmesan & rocket mash potato for lunch (served Monday - Friday), and for groups of 10 or more, there are some wonderful dinner options. After a busy day exploring Mayfair, we advise returning for a refreshing afternoon tea at the club. For breakfast, try the delicious English or Continental breakfast, the Continental option offering a buffet of cereals, yogurt, croissants, ham, cheese and boiled eggs.

Rates

Rates at The Fox Club are per room per night and include VAT. Continental Breakfast is included for members of The Fox Club. For non-members, the English or Continental breakfast is charged at GBP 10 per person. Please let them know in advance if you require twin beds or an additional sofa bed which is charged at GBP 20 per day, suitable for children or adults.
