Egerton House Hotel - London, England

About this Chic Retreat

The Egerton House Hotel combines a traditionally run, luxury townhouse hotel with the privacy and comfort of a private home. It has the best attention to detail we have experienced in any luxury hotel, anywhere. Really. A pillow for the bath..a candle on the side next to the bath salts; a stationery set in the room for those wanting to do some business, an automatic coffee/tea machine in the room and iron and ironing board in the cupboard. Whilst The Egerton is run on traditional lines reminiscent of a bygone age, the hotel's contemporary facilities are designed to meet the demands of today's discerning traveller and we think they far exceed them. Guests can enjoy the cosy drawing room, breakfast room & study, staffed by its own butler, concierge, valets & housekeepers. Other guest services include 24 hour room service, secretarial services, airline and theatre reservations, and a small meeting room.

Accommodation

The Egerton House Hotel has 28 rooms & 2 top-floor suites, all of which have been elegantly furnished with antique Italian furnishings & luxurious fabrics, maintaining the grandeur of this chic Victorian townhouse. Some rooms have four-poster beds and all are fitted with luxurious linens and plump pillows. Stay in the flamboyant V&A Suite with it's deep red sofas and garden terrace or try a Deluxe King replete with chandeliers and plump seating. The majority of the rooms also enjoy view of the gardens. Tastefully refurbished, attention has been paid to meeting today's exacting international standards, with en-suite marble bathrooms, Nano iPods, flat screen plasm TVs and private bars in every room.

Activities

The Egerton House Hotel is a stone's throw from Harrods and the fashionable shops of the Brompton Road and Chelsea, as well as being just 5 minutes by cab from the West End theatres and 30 minutes from London Heathrow.

Dining

The breakfast at the Egerton House Hotel is so fresh it is worth getting out of bed for. The selection of fresh fruit includes raspberries, blueberries pineapple, kiwi and melon. The pastries are miniature and delicious and the freshly cut ham is some of the best we have had - British of course. The poached eggs are perfect and the service Scott offers is discreet and charming. Antonio will serve you the best Vodka Martini in London.
