Dean Street Townhouse is the best small boutique hotel in the heart of fashionable Soho and is one of Lulu's favourites. This historic Georgian townhouse was once home to the Gargoyle Club, the former meeting place of London's artists & literati. The newest addition to the fashionable Soho House Group, Dean Street Townhouse won't disappoint with classy interiors, hi-tech fixtures and a restaurant serving a menu of great British classics using fresh seasonal produce. Accommodation

The 39 individually-decorated rooms at Dean Street Townhouse come in 'broom cupboard', 'tiny', 'small', 'medium' and 'bigger'. Hand-painted Georgian wallpapers, original features, upholstered seating & comfy sofas and antique-style bathtubs feature in these stylish rooms which have a traditional British feel with a contemporary twist. Beds are either king-size or super king-size and are fitted with bespoke Egyptian cotton sheets and plenty of plump pillows. Bathrooms have rainforest showers and in addition many rooms have freestanding bathtubs right in the bedrooms, all with sumptuous Cowshed bath products. All rooms have mini-bars, complimentary WiFi and Sony flat screen TVs with DVD players and Sky plus.

Activities

Dean Street Townhouse is located a minute's walk from Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road and it is only a short walk to the fashionable shopping of Carnaby Street. From this central location it is easy to reach the sites of London by tube, or try out some great restaurants & bars in Soho and China Town. Theatre lovers will be spoilt to choice with the best of the West End theatres close by. For a bit of pampering after a day out in town, visit the Cowshed Carnaby in Soho, the Soho Groups first London spa and store and refresh with an on-the-go treatment or luxuriate with a longer treatment.

Dining

The Dean Street Townhouse restaurant serves an ever-changing menu of British cuisine with seasonal produce sourced from the UK and Ireland. Choose from popular favourites made with the finest ingredients such as fish & chips with marrow fat peas, Blytheburgh pork belly with roast pumpkin & lentils, Cornish brill with cepes and for a romantic treat, oysters. For pudding enjoy treats such as rhubarb fool with shortbread or rice pudding with blood oranges. And of course, as you would expect from a good British menu, they serve scones & jam for tea. The dining room is cosy with leather Georgian banquette seating, red leather booths, hard wood floors and chandeliers. Room service is also available for guests staying at Dean Street Townhouse.

Rates at Dean Street Townhouse are per room per night and exclude VAT. Members of Soho House Group receive a discount on these rates. Children are accepted in the 'bigger' rooms only where a z bed can be added at a supplement of GBP 25.
