About this Chic Retreat
Sitting high on the hillside town of Manarola in Liguria, is La Torretta, a restored 17th-century towerand now a gorgeous chic retreat. With views stretching across the Ligurian Sea and the Roman amphitheatre, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, this little chic retreat is the perfect hideaway and weekend escape. The charming owner Gabriele looks after guests personally and is happy to advise on what to see and where to go.
Accommodation
Each room and apartment at La Torretta has pretty views, either across the sea or surrounding area. The rooms are individually decorated with a mix of Italian charm and contemporary style and the best in hi-tech luxuries. All rooms come with air-conditioning, Nespresso coffee machines, plasma TVs with Satellite, stereos, complimentary mini-bars, 100% cotton linens, towels, bathrobes & slippers, AMBER SPA bath products, free local calls and complimentary tea and coffee. The en-suite bathrooms come with rain showers and some have Jacuzzis or bath tubs.
The Tower Suite has 2 master bedrooms and 2 twin kids rooms accommodating a maximum of 9 and there won't be a queue for the bathroom while every room has its own en-suite and other amenities. Each room in this spacious suite has its own entrance outside the private courtyard so families can appreciate privacy while sharing a space. Many of the rooms and suites have private balconies or terraces, perfect for reading or taking breakfast. The Junior Romantic Suite has a particularly stunning Versace ceiling fresco.
Activities
La Torretta enjoys a prominent position with stunning sea views. Guests can soak up the sun on the sun deck and watch stunning sunsets while breathing in the exhilarating sea air. The sea is beautfiul and perfect for snorkelling and the coastline is great for hiking. This chic retreat is not recommended for those with walking difficulties or children under 8.
Dining
The nearest restaurant is only 2 minutes walk from La Torretta and the other 5 are only 10 minutes walk away all serving delicious, authentic Italian food and wine. Enjoy a light BIO organic breakfast served in your room including brioche and fresh juice, or make your own in the Junior Terrace Suite which is situated 2 minutes walk from the main house. Here, a fresh breakfast basket will be delivered daily. Up on the terrace, La Toretta will provide wine & cheese tastings until 7pm and also offers complimentary tea, coffee and pastries.

Rates at La Torretta are per room per night and include breakfast and Italian sales tax (IVA) 10%.

Cancellation policy
First night deposit is non-refundable in any circumstances. The First 2 nights deposit is non-refundable for no-shows.

- Neareast Airport: Pisa.
- Distance from Airport: 40 minutes.
- Additional Info: Guests can take a train to Manarola train station. Then either book a private transfer to the door for EUR 40, walk, or take the bus. A private chauffer driven transfer can be arranged at EUR 80 one way from La Spezia train station to La Torretta (35 minute drive). Your bags will be taken care of. We recommend guests don't pack too much as Manarola and the other 5 Terre villages are located in a national park with many stairs and uphill roads.
Free parking is available in the main street or pay parking in the plaza. They can also arrange private car parking inside a garage at EUR 15 per day, all a 4 minute walk from La Torretta. Arrivals before 7pm can drive up to the door to drop off bags.
