Relais Royal - Languedoc, France

About this Chic Retreat

Relais Royal is not only majestic in name, but also in the service provided by the charming owners Gerwin and Rogier and their team of staff. They have cleverly managed to combine the charm and discretion of a small luxury hotel with the luxuries & modern comforts usually found at larger hotels.

Accommodation

The exquisite attention to detail in the renovation has allowed original features to be kept including terracotta floors, wooden French ceilings, marble and stone fireplaces as well as the Louis XIV nutwood doors.

Activities

The world famous town of Carcassonne is close by as well as many other beautiful attractions including Limoux and its vineyards and The Cathare Montsegur Castle. Mountain biking, golf courses and sailing can all be enjoyed during your stay at Relais Royal and this small luxury hotel is even within easy reach of ski resorts in the Monts d'Olmes. For those wanting to stay in there is a small swimming pool in the garden and a pretty south-facing courtyard.

Dining

Traditional French cuisine is served at the Hotel's Le Ciel d'Or restaurant using the freshest regional products. The magnificent vaulted wine cellar has a vast selection of wines to choose from and a grand tour can be arranged at any time of day.
