About this Chic Retreat

If we were to live in a small luxury hotel Jardins Secrets would be it. Jardins Secrets is a gorgeous little gem right in the centre of Nimes. The owners are not only incredibly talented but they are some of the most charming people you will meet. Just 5 minutes from the train station and 10km from Nimes airport this small boutique hotel is in a prime location. Formerly an 18th-century Inn, Jardins Secrets has been magnificently converted into a stunning hotel. The pretty garden pool is hidden away amongst the orange and olive trees. With red walls adorned with bougainvilliers guests would be forgiven for mistaking it for an Italian villa. There are 3 interconnecting sitting rooms allowing guests to mix or enjoy their own space.

Accommodation

The 14 rooms are filled with silk drapes, antiques and wonderful baldaquin beds. The bathrooms are just as sumptuous with roll top baths seemlessly floating on the marble floors. Jardins Secrets is air-conditioned and WIFI is available. It is difficult to choose a favourite room here as they are all absolutely divine, but we recommend trying out the newly-designed La Suite de Madame. This chic new Junior Suite boasts a spacious Lit à la Polonaise with silk ruffles at the corners of the bed and 18th-century woodwork lines the walls, while the soft powder-pink palette makes this the perfect suite for a romantic break.

Activities

The stunning spa at Jardins Secrets will delight all guests that stay here. It is used exclusively per room. There is a hammam and heated pool along with treatment rooms. The products used in the spa are derived from ancient and authentic Ayurvedic recipes. We had one of the best treatments we have ever had here. Nîmes, the ancient Nemausus, is a great place to view some of the world's finest Roman remains and the shopping is great! There is now a gorgeous boutique at Jardins Secrets with all items handpicked by the owner Annabelle - be warned you will need to allow for extra hand luggage if you enter!

Dining

By prior arrangement this small chic hotel is happy to offer a plate of bread & cheese or a light salad. Breakfast is served in the garden surrounded by birdsong and the wonderful smell of roses and guests are offered a selection of lovely jams; jasmine flower, rose petal. Jardins Secrets recently-opened boutique the Herboristerie has a great selection of home-made jams, herbal teas and organic herbs to take home with you.

Rates at Jardins Secrets are per room per night. Continental Breakfast is EUR 25, pets are charged at EUR 20 and the garage is charged at EUR 20.

Cancellation policy

The hotel will charge 50% of the total amount of the reservation in the event that notice cancellation is given within less than 4 weeks before the foreseen date of arrival. The hotel is entitled to compensation amounting to the number of nights reserved in the event that notice cancellation is given within less than 2 weeks before the foreseen date of arrival. Shortened stays The hotel is entitled to compensation amounting to the number of nights originally reserved, in case of departure before the foreseen date.

  • Additional Info: Please note that if travelling to Nimes airport it is very small with very few trolleys! The trolleys only take Euro 1 coins so make sure you go prepared to avoid having to carry heavy luggage!.
