Royal Malewane - Kruger National Park, South Africa
About this Chic Retreat
Sitting on the fringe of the Kruger National Park and accommodating a maximum of 20 guests in the utmost colonial splendour, Royal Malewane is an exclusive getaway for those who value privacy, personalised service and the best game viewing Africa has to offer. The main camp complex is the heart of Royal Malewane. African thatched-roof buildings house the library, shop, dining and reception areas. Furnished with rich antiques and Persian carpets, every fitting creates the feel of original colonial elegance.
Accommodation
Set amongst a canopy of indigenous acacia and lantern bush trees, the central library, shop and dining area - airy and simply elegant - are linked to walkways that thread to the 6 luxury suites, each with its own rich wooden deck, rim-flow pool and thatched gazebo. For the ultimate in luxury, there are also the Royal and Malewane Suites, which comfortably accommodate up to four guests each, with the complimentary services of a butler, private chef and up to 4 complimentary massages per suite per day.
Activities
Completely surrounded by the untamed African bush, the Waters of Royal Malewane Bush Spa is the perfect refuge for guests seeking relaxation or rejuvenation. This sanctuary for the senses offers guests an indoor and outdoor treatment area, gym, double treatment rooms with spa baths and a Vichy shower, 4 casitas for post treatment relaxation and a 25m heated lap pool. Treatments are inspired by African Rituals and indigenous oils and traditional ingredients provide a sensory experience with an unforgettable African touch. The treatments may be enjoyed in the spa, in the spectacular open-air sala or in the complete privacy of the guest's suite.
