About this Chic Retreat
The Brew House Hotel is a new small boutique hotel at the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, a short walk from the elegant Pantiles promenade. The building, an original brew house dating back to the 1800s has had a stylish contemporary makeover, and you are sure to have a good rest after dinner in the ONE Restaurant which serves beautifully-presented seasonal cuisine along with a superb wine list. For special events and banquets, the modern fusion menu is served in the renovated Old School House adjacent to this Chic Retreat, which has all of the original beams and windows. By evening, you are minutes from the chicest bars in town, while those who would prefer to stay put after suppertime can enjoy a drink in the city-slick ONE Bar & Lounge. The perfect place for a romantic break or weekend shopping trip, or bring the kids for a family trip to this historical spa town.
Accommodation
There are 15 rooms at The Brew House Hotel, divided into 3 categories: standard, superior and deluxe, though all equally stylish with sympathetically restored interiors decorated in a chic contemporary style. All rooms have queen-size double beds fitted with Egyptian cotton linens and are individually-decorated with a demure palette of white and cream tones, slate greys and coal black. The luxuriously-appointed en-suite bathrooms feature either baths and showers or luxurious rain showers and each is supplied with sumptuous Ren bath products, fluffy towels and bathrobes. Flick the switch in some of the bathrooms and you will be surprised to find the Smart Glass walls turn from opaque to transparent! The deluxe rooms are the largest, bright and airy with large bay windows, French windows which open to a terrace or Juliette balconies. In each room, you will find an LCD flat screen TV with Sky, air-conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities and WiFi.
Activities
The Brew House Hotel is in the ideal location for a shopping trip in Tunbridge Wells' Pantiles. This promenade is lined with boutique shops, chic cafes, restaurants and bars and is a wonderful place for a lazy Sunday afternoon. A short drive will take you to the areas castles and stately homes, from Hever Castle, Anne Boleyn's erstwhile home and Chartwell, once home to Churchill and now a museum to his life. Kids and grown-ups alike will enjoy a visit to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park which houses a variety of rare and endangered species or why not visit Knole, a grand manor set in a vast deer park, filled to the brim with fine art, antiques and rarities. And you don't have to go to the continent for a day out in the vineyards, with some of England's best wineries close by such as the Chapel Down Winery, Sandhurst and Lamberhurst. The Wealden countryside is perfect for long walks & hikes and adventure activities with watersports available in Bewl Water and Go Ape in Bedgebury. There are a myriad of excellent golf courses which your hosts can recommend and for tennis, visit the club in Warwick Park. However, if all you want is a romantic boutique hotel experience, why not spend the evening in the chic One bar & lounge. Newly-opened: The Brew House now has a stylish gym with high-tech equipment.
Dining
Food is a real focal point here, with a menu of homemade seasonal cuisine made to your preference. The menu is based on what is available from local suppliers and features fine meats, fresh vegetables and fragrant herbs in modern fusion dishes such as roasted Mediterranean vegetable ravioli with tomato petals & basil foam to start and mains including fillet of wild halibut on a bed of flageolet beans with chorizo, clams & fresh herbs in a tomato sauce. All of this can be enjoyed alongside a great selection of wines in the contemporary restaurant, or in the beautifully-renovated Old School House for special events and banquets. Bar snacks, platters and sandwiches are served in the ONE Bar. A Continental buffet breakfast and a la carte menu is served in the ONE Restaurant.

Rates at The Brew House Hotel are per room per night. Extra beds are the same cost for children or adults at GBP 15 per night, though they are more suitable for children (only in some rooms).
