About this Chic Retreat

A'Jia Hotel is a contemporary boutique hotel overlooking the grand waters of the Bosphorus, Istanbul. The impressive façade of this Ottoman mansion fronts the Asian shore and inside all is sleek, luxurious and modern. High ceilings, whites on creams and wooden flooring create a calm interior with large windows and balconies opening out to the dazzling blue waters below. Half an hour from the city centre, A'Jia is close enough to the action yet set in a more laid-back and relaxing part of town. Guests can relax in the large freestanding baths after a days exploring and shopping.

Accommodation

A'Jia Hotel has 10 deluxe rooms and 5 deluxe suites, all but one with views of the Bosphorus. Clean lines and contemporary furnishing reign throughout with an all-white colour scheme and polished wooden flooring. Beds have crisp white Egyptian cotton sheets and plump pillows and many rooms have private balconies. Three of the suites have mezzanine levels where guests can enjoy the views from the deep freestanding baths and the white marble en-suite bathrooms all have fluffy white towels and luxurious bath products. The rooms at A'Jia Hotel have LCD TVs with plenty of channels, DVD players, plush bathrobes and slippers. Aqua di Parma bath products add to the feeling of luxury and we loved the little details in the room such as a visiting card with your name and hotel details on in case you get lost and the weekly weather forecast. All guests are warmly welcomed with a delicious house cocktail and Mete, the charming Director is always around for advice on shopping, restaurants or culture.

Activities

With direct access to the water from the private pier, A'Jia Hotel has its own boat which takes guests across the Bosphorus and on private tours of Istanbul. A'jia is set alongside mansions and greenery, half an hour from the bustling centre of Istanbul. Visit the impressive Kucuksu Pavilion, the Beylerbeyi Palace and the Rumeli fortress, or simply sit back on the waterside terrace with an A'Jia Apple Martini and enjoy the view. If you can withstand the chill, the winter months are a great time to visit Istanbul for shopping when the prices drop making the Grand Bazaar simply unmissable.

Dining

A'Jia Hotel's restaurant serves some of the best food we had during our visit to Istanbul and offers a modern Mediterranean menu devised by their award-winning chef. Guests can enjoy a romantic meal on the pretty terrace with views across the sea. Brunch on Sundays is a must and guests can enjoy a cool drink from the waterfront bar. Start the day with a traditional Turkish breakfast with plenty of freshly baked bread.

Rates

Rates at A'Jia Hotel are subject to an additional 8% VAT. A Turkish breakfast costs EUR 15 per person. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children from 7 to 12 years are charged EUR 50 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 100 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by A'Jia Hotel at the time of booking. Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.
