Tower Lodge - Hunter Valley, Australia

About this Chic Retreat

Tower Estate, which includes boutique hotel Tower Lodge, is monitored by the watchful eye of Australia's pre-eminent ambassador of wine, and Tower Chairman, Len Evans AO OBE and driven by two dedicated managers. The Estate comprises Tower Winery, Robert's Restaurant and Blaxland's Café-Restaurant. Tower Lodge is visually impenetrable, internally stunning yet totally unpretentious and friendly. The Lodge has 12 extraordinary guestrooms, a state-of-the art meeting room, a dining room, bar and lounge room, a library and a central courtyard. This small luxury hotel's mission statement is "To provide the best wine, the best food and the best accommodation in the Hunter Valley".

Accommodation

All of the 12rooms are air-conditioned with a bedroom and living area (11 rooms have king size beds) complete with writing desk and music system, phone with STD/ISD direct dialling, clock/radio and a data plug-in. The rooms have television, pay channels and VCR [there is a video library at reception]. Each room has a dressing area and bathroom; all the bathrooms have a deep- soaking spa tub and separate showers. For guest's comfort, unlike other boutique hotels Tower Lodge provides summer and winter bathrobes and slippers, luxurious amenities, and a professional hairdryer. Some rooms have wood burning fireplaces, one has an outdoor plunge tub and others may have a private courtyard, a fountain or a balcony but every room has its own special charm and individual character. Tower Lodge has disabled room and access facilities.

Activities

The Lodge supports an impressive recreational facility that includes "The Dinks", an 18-hole short golf course, a 1.6km walking track, a heated pool, a sauna, gym and a massage treatment room. On the western perimeter of the Lodge within a private, enclosed compound is the heated outdoor lap pool, a sauna, gym, and a massage treatment room. Guests may also choose to have massage in the privacy of their guestroom. Beyond Tower Estate the Hunter Valley wine country offers a variety of experiences. You can visit some of the country's oldest wineries and vineyards.
