About this Chic Retreat
Loch Ness Lodge is a small boutique hotel overlooking the beautiful and mysterious Loch Ness, 9 miles from the Highland capital of Inverness. Owners Scott & Iona Sutherland have created an intimate, luxurious bolthole on this 18-acre estate with just 7 bedrooms and a spa & treatment area for a spot of pampering. Traditional Scottish style blends with contemporary luxury and there is a sense of classical elegance throughout with open-fireplaces, fine fabrics and antique wooden furniture featuring in the rooms and living areas. The Franco-Scottish cuisine created by head chef Ross Fraser has received great praise and the lodge has been awarded 2 AA rosettes. This wonderful country retreat is ideal for a romantic escape for 2 and is also available for exclusive-use for intimate weddings & house party celebrations.
Accommodation
The 7 beautifully-decorated rooms of Loch Ness Lodge blend fine fabrics in natural colours such as heather, sage & oatmeal with hints of tweed to create a luxurious feel with a Scottish twist. Most rooms offer spectacular views over the Loch. Affric is set in the grand turret of the lodge and is a Premium Plus Room with a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower & double-ended Jacuzzi bath. Assynt, the other Premium Plus Room, is equally as spacious and has an elegant roll-top bath in the marble-effect bathroom. All en-suite bathrooms have showers and / or baths, sumptuous Penhaligons Quercus bath products, towels, bathrobes & slippers and bedrooms have flat screen TVs, DVD & CD players and WiFi.
Activities
There are activities available right on site at Loch Ness Lodge, including kayaking along the lodge's own private stretch of shoreline and archery in the grounds. Your welcoming hosts are happy to organise a programme of activities to suit your individual tastes from the adventure sports of white water rafting, mountain biking & paintball to the more traditional pastimes of fishing or shooting. A helicopter trip is a great way to see the landscape or perhaps you would prefer to explore it on foot on a guided hill walk.
An hour's drive from the lodge, the Rothiemurcus Estate offers some alternative activities such as husky dog sledging, raft building, 4x4 off-road driving, bridge building & gorge walking and in the Cairngorm Mountain range skiing & snowboarding are available in season.
Fast pace action isn't for everyone, and for those who want a relaxing tour of the area, take a cruise on Loch Ness, a dolphin-spotting boat trip on the Moray Firth or a glass blowing experience at a nearby studio. Golfers are spoilt for choice with the wide range of championship courses in the area including Spey Valley, Moray & Royal Dornoch. Whisky lovers can take a tasting tour of a local distillery or an in-house whisky experience, tailored to suit your level of expertise by a malt connoisseur.
Back at the lodge, the spa has a sauna, hot tub & spa treatment menu including massages, facials and pedicures. For souvenirs, pop down to the village of Beauly which has a wonderful selection of privately-owned shops selling jewellery, clothing, food and much more.
Dining
The Highlands are well-known for producing wonderful local cheeses, meats & seafood and Loch Ness Lodge source the freshest local produce for their modern Franco-Scottish menu. For those who want exclusive use of the property, the chef is happy to tailor a menu to suit your palate. Take canapés and an aperitif in the drawing room before enjoying a 5-course dinner in the elegant dining room overlooking the loch.
Rates
Rates at Loch Ness Lodge are per room / per propery per night as indicated in the table. Rates include full Highland breakfast and tax at the current rate. Exclusive rental rates may vary depending on guests' requirements. They include exclusive use of the Lodge, breakfast, classic 5-course wedding dinner with a supplement being added should you require an upgraded menu and VAT & 17.5%

Cancellation policy
Confirmed reservations cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival date will be charged at the full tariff. Confirmed reservations cancelled within 7 days will be charged at 70% of the tariff. If rooms are re-let the cancellation charges will be refunded less an appropriate administration fee.
