Heidelberg Suites - Heidelberg, Germany

About this Chic Retreat

Heidelberg Suites is a new boutique hotel in Heidelberg, the only small luxury hotel in this romantic castle city. Located in the Upper Rhine Valley, this historic town has a warm climate, and guests can enjoy views over the rolling hills, Heidelberg Castle and the labyrinthine old town as well as a waterside location by the Neckar river. The interiors of this 19th-century villa have been created by the world-renowned architect, Michele Bonan, the Italian designer of the JK Place hotels in Capri & Florence, who took inspiration from the German romanticism and classicism that characterises the city. The pretty landscaped garden, halls and suites are decorated with statuettes and well-chosen artwork, while Bonan's bespoke furniture is even available for you to buy. Guests can fully appreciate the peaceful surroundings from the rooftop terrace and the pretty gardens and unwind in the small & private wellness area. Enjoy as much or as little independence as you wish, with a fully-furnished kitchen in each suite for those who prefer self-catering as well as the option of full service from the hotel.

The Penthouse Suite is the cream of the crop, a generous 70 sqm with a large rooftop terrace and private outdoor Jacuzzi.

An old university town, the city offers a rich tapestry of tradition and youthful vitality with a fabulous café culture. Your hosts have a great selection of city guides who offer tailor-made tours of the city which can be enjoyed in their comfortable golf-cart or in a limousine or rent an in-house bike and set off on your own exploration. A great way to discover the area is by helicopter with a flight over the Bavarian Forest of Odes or the Mittelrheintal, or in spring & autumn, take a boat tour through the Neckar valley. The adventurous among you might like to try paragliding or a tandem parachute jump from a base around 45 minutes from the city, or you could even try indoor skydiving in a wind tunnel! For those who like to stay on terra firma, there are some great golf courses nearby including the St. Leon-Rot course with which Heidelberg Suites offer special packages, tennis courts 3 km away or take a relaxing break in the spa area which has a sauna, steam room and small gym.

Dining

A buffet breakfast is served in the lounge with fresh fruit & delicious pastries included. There is a small room service menu available while your hosts will be happy to recommend some of the fine local restaurants. The "Heidelberg Suites Patria" is due to be launched in the next couple of months; this traditional 1930s boat is anchored just across from the hotel and will have an intimate restaurant, café, and in the evenings, a bar, all designed by M. Bonan in the style of Heidelberg Suites. The boat can also be rented for events, weddings or meetings including a trip along the Neckar river.
