About this Chic Retreat
Au Coin du Feu is a warm & cosy luxury hotel close to the charming village of Megeve with views of the snow-capped mountains. Aged wood, thick and inviting red carpets and sofas sit by open-log fires while antique furnishings and warm lighting create an inviting atmosphere away from the crisp snowy air outside. This charming luxury hotel, part of the Sibuet group, has its own spa with hammam to get the warmth back in after a day on the slopes. Au Coin du Feu oozes rustic charm and guests will feel right at home.
Accommodation
Au Coin du Feu has 23 rooms, all gorgeously decorated with antique wood furniture, warm rich fabrics in reds, greens and greys, thick curtains and luxurious rustic sofas. Some rooms have lounge areas and some have private balconies with stunning views of the snow-covered mountains. All rooms come with double beds, bathrobes, slippers, safety box, WiFi and the ensuite bathrooms come with baths and the Sibuet groups own range of Pure Altitude products made from ingredients sourced from the mountains.
Activities
The Megeve ski area covers over 400 km and so is one of the largest ski resorts in France and good skiers will find plenty of off piste skiing. The village is charming and there are lots of cosy spots to cuddle up in, not least the comfy lounge areas of the hotel itself. The spa has a sumptious range of treatments using the Sibuet hotels' exclusive range of Pure Altitude products, with ingredients sourced from the mountains. The sauna and hammam are a welcoming treat and guests of Au Coin du Feu are free to use them at will along with the fitness room.
Dining
Au Coin du Feu has 4 afilliated restaurants close by. Le Saint Nicholas serves up a hearty, traditional menu, boiled beef with vegetables and chocolate charlotte will quell any hunger after an exerting day's ski. Les Enfants Terribles is more contemporary in style with Cocteau quotations and Jean Marais pottery adorning the walls and a grill menu where peppered steak can be enjoyed. L'Alpete has wonderful panoramic views and serves local dishes for lunch including seafood and cheese based meals, a great place to grab a bite before getting back to the slopes. The Alpage is reserved exclusively for the guests of Au Coin du Feu and towering above at 1800 m, the views are as spectacular as the food.
Rates
Rates at Au Coin du Feu are per room per night based on two persons sharing and do not include breafast which costs EUR 17. Half-board costs EUR 50 extra per person and includes breakfast and dinner. Half-board is compulsory for certain dates. An additional bed costs EUR 40 per night, a baby cot costs EUR 23 and animals cost EUR 15 per day. A 50% deposit is required to confirm bookings.

Cancellation policy
For cancellations less than 21 days prior to arrival, the deposit of 50% will not be refunded. Guests can subscribe to a cancellation contract if they wish. Early departure will be charged in full unless the room is resold.
