Monsignor Della Casa Country Resort & Spa is a charming country hotel set in a restored historic hamlet within a 30,000 sqm park in the Tuscan countryside. Just half an hour from Florence this award-winning boutique hotel is spread over 70 acres which is home to the castle that was the birthplace of Monsignor Giovanni della Casa, the author of the 'Galateo'.

Activities

Monsignor della Casa boasts 2 large swimming pools (one a family pool, the other for adults only), a tennis court, volleyball court and small football pitch. Whilst the spa includes a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym and treatment rooms. Cooking courses, painting courses, wine and food tastings and truffle hunting are just some of the activities that can be organised during your stay at Monsignor della Casa. One of Italy's most famous golf courses Poggio dei Medici Golf Club is less than 10 minutes away and as the estate is near the Giogo-Casaglia park which extends for more than 6000 acres across Borgo San Lorenzo, Firenzuola and other towns there are plenty of paths for trekking, nordic walking and mountain biking.

Dining

Restaurant & Wine Bar L’Enoteca del Monsignore serves dishes using seasonal products, truffles hunted in the nearby woods, fresh homemade pasta and delicious game dishes and the organic fruits and vegetables come straight from the estate's kitchen garden. Light lunches under the olive trees can be enjoyed during the warmer months between May and the end of September and dinner is served in the country style dining room complete with a large working fireplace. Parents will be pleased to hear that there is also a children's menu ensuring one big happy family!
