Marignolle Relais & Charme is a small luxury hotel in the hills above Florence. Guests can relax by the pool and enjoy the relais' large country estate or explore Florence city centre - a short drive away - with its galleries, cafes, restaurants and theatres. The Bulleri family have created a haven up in the hills with an elegant style befitting the aristocratic history of the manor. Customised furnishings, fine fabrics, period prints and antiques create a charming ambience, perfect for those looking for a traditional Italian experience.
Accommodation
Marignolle Relais and Charme has 6 spacious Double Deluxe rooms and 3 Junior Suites, all furnished with antique furniture, refined fabrics and upholstery personally selected by Paola Bulleri, the former owner-designer of this luxury hotel. All rooms have air-conditioning, soundproofing, Satellite TVs, WiFi, tea & coffee making facilities, mini-bars with a selection of wines, lavender & rice soap and luxury bath products, fluffy towels, and large built-in closets. The spacious bathrooms have double white marble sinks and each room has a separate bathroom with a large shower and parquet flooring creating a warm and inviting finish. The Deluxe Doubles are arranged with king-size beds, twins or for single occupancy, the Junior Suite sleeps 2 and the Superior Junior Suite can sleep up to 4 guests.
Activities
Marignolle Relais & Charme is a chic hideaway, nestled in the Florentine hills where the scent of lavender, rosemary, pine and cypress trees permeates the air. Wander the landscaped gardens or lie back by the outdoor pool and enjoy the sun. The countryside location means this chic retreat is great for walks & hikes. However, this luxury hotel offers the best of both worlds as the estate is just 3 km from the city of Florence with its wealth of art galleries, museums and fine architecture.
For those who love shopping, your hosts can organise a visit to the outlets of the finest of Italian fashion designers where you'll find Armani, Sergio Rossi, Yves Sant Laurent and Prada among other famous names. Foodies can take cookery lessons with Paola who will show you how to cook some of the best in traditional regional cuisine. For golfers, the helpful staff will book green-fees for one of 4 great courses in the area located a 20-45 minutes drive away. There is also a tennis club at the top of the hill just a 5 minute walk away. There is a wellness/massage/sport centre close to this chic retreat and for those who would like to be pampered in-room, classic and shiatzu massages can be arranged. Wine lovers may wish to take a tasting tour in Chianti and various cultural tours of local farms, Florence and medieval cities such as San Gimignano can be arranged. With so much on offer, guests are free to do as much or as little as they wish.
Dining
Breakfast is taken in the bright conservatory and this luxury hotel lays on a tasty buffet with fresh bread and patisserie, homemade cakes, local marmalades and a menu of dishes to order including scrambled eggs, bacon and cheeses. The staff can recommend a great number of restaurants and trattorie in the city or around the local area where guests can enjoy Tuscan cuisine. Snacks and light suppers can be arranged on request.
Rates
Rates at Marignolle Relais & Charme are per room per night and include breakfast, taxes, service, use of the private parking and use of the swimming pool (from May to October). Children are welcome and baby cots for children up to 4 years are free of charge. Beds for those over 4 years are charged EUR 40 in low season and EUR 60 in high season and can be provided in Double Deluxe or Junior Suite rooms. There is a large parking space available for all guests free of charge. During the Pitti Uomo Winter Edition (12-15 January 2010) high season rates apply and there is no availability during the Pitti Uomo Summer Edition (14-17 June 2010).

Cancellation policy
Low season: Cancellations made more than 3 days prior to arrival will not be charged. Cancellations made within 3 days prior to arrival will be charged 1 night of the stay. Middle & high season: Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to arrival will not be charged. Cancellations made between 14-8 days of arrival will be charged 75% of the stay. Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to arrival will be charged 100% of the booking.
