About this Chic Retreat
Santa Maria is an authentic traditional Argentine estancia set amidst an estate of over 2500 hectares. This small boutique hotel, with just 5 rooms is only 2 hours drive from Buenos Aires. Guests will love the genuine ranch experience and can get to know the traditions and customs of the Argentine 'Gauchos' first hand.
Ride leisurely across the vast plains and take in the view of the rich green pastures and crops of soy and sunflowers that make up the stunning scenery surrounding the estancia. After a bit of adventure sit back and relax by the pool and soak up the sun, walk, cycle or read under the shade of a tree. This small boutique hotel has something for everyone.
Accommodation
The 5 rooms are simply stylish with traditional furnishings. All of the rooms, including the single have private bathrooms.
Activities
Horse riding is a must when coming to Argentina and day trips including a barbecue lunch or shorter rides can be arranged. Old fashioned carriage rides are a lovely way of enjoying the surrounding scenery. Guests can enjoy watching the harvesting and silo stacking as well as participating in the feeding of the cattle. Estancia Santa Maria specialises in the Criollo Horse whose ancestors are the Andalucian and the Berberiscan horse which was introduced into Spain when the Arabs ruled. These horses are carefully bred here at the stud farm which produces pure pedigree horses which compete all over Argentina. Keen horse riders can learn how the horses are selected and trained.
Dining
Informal traditional lunches are served and in the evening guests can enjoy the Argentine "Asado" (BBQ).
Rates
Rooms at Estancia Santa Maria are per room per night on a full board basis including horse riding and carriage rides. Extras and tips are not included. Children under 10 not accepted.

Cancellation policy
A 50 % pre-payment, of the total amount, is required in order to confirm the reservation. The remaining balance to cover the total amount for the services reserved is to be paid 7 days before arrival
a) If the cancellation is produced 7 days before the arrival date the total amount will be refunded except administrative expenses.
b) If the cancellation is produced between 7 and 2 days before the arrival date, there will be a 50% surcharge of the total amount of the services reserved.
c) If the cancellation is made 24 hours prior to arrival, there will be a 100% surcharge of the total amount of the services reserved.
