About this Chic Retreat
Stay in Style was set up to provide a unique boutique hotel experience in a barn conversion that is exclusively yours. Voltaire is a stunning house available for exclusive rental only, it is not a boutique hotel, but a luxury house for rental accommodating up to 12 guests (with a minimum stay of 3 nights). Stay in Style owner Alo Brake says:"I wanted my guests to stay somewhere which was at least as good as, if not better, than home - I wanted it to be as good as any 5-star boutique hotel." Voltaire can be booked together with its sister property Burggraaf for a party of 24 family or friends. Chill out in the spa area with sauna, steam and treatment rooms. Or, if you want to be more active, try out the exercise studio and games room.
Accommodation
Voltaire's 6 bedrooms are very special. En-suite, the bedrooms have sumptuous, super king-size beds or twin beds can be made available. The linen used at Voltaire is of the best quality Egyptian cotton, as are the pillows, towels and bath robes. The en-suite bathrooms are luxuriously appointed with limestone floors, large baths with stone surrounds, Italian chrome taps and great water pressure, allowing you to totally de-stress. Aromatherapy Associates products are provided throughout this exclusive house which sleeps 12 very comfortably. WIFI, 42" plasma screen, Sky TV and Nintendo Wii. Equipment for babies and toddlers are all included in the exclusive rental rate.
Activities
Imagine immersing yourself deep in the West Dorset countryside, away from the hubbub of everyday life, surrounded by luxury and beauty. Voltaire is a fabulous, modern barn conversion set in the heart of one of the loveliest places in rural England. From the top of the drive, you can see the sea beyond the rolling countryside. Voltaire was designed with luxury and comfort in mind. Not only does this boutique barn look beautiful with heated limestone floors, big squashy sofas and silk cushions but there is plenty of space to relax and unwind in front of the warm ribbon fire. After a swim in the private indoor swimming pool guests can use the steam room or sauna, or simply lie on the loungers around the pool. Spa treatments with one of the professional therapists can be booked. Very near the Jurassic Coast and beaches. Short breaks available throughout the year.
Dining
The locally-made kitchen and dining area is light and airy, with polished stone surfaces and stainless steel appliances. It is equipped to the high standard you would expect at a luxury boutique hotel and the beautiful design makes it a pleasure to cook for yourself. Alternatively you can have delicious food made for you by one of several renowned local chefs. West Dorset is a magnet for foodies and is well known for great, locally-produced food. You can have your food delivered by one of the many local delicatessens, butchers and greengrocers or a supermarket in time for your arrival and at anytime during your stay. Food can be cooked for you, with complete waitress service if required, or delivered to your door. Only fresh ingredients are used, to make your dining experience unforgettable. Menu suggestions and prices of ready meals available (see below). Spa treatments and pampering Voltaire is off the beaten track but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy being pampered with a luxurious spa treatment, from holistic therapies to facials and massages. Bespoke packages of your choice are available.
