The Urban Beach Hotel is a boutique hotel that stands out above Bournemouth's numerous hotels catering for those drawn to the sandy beaches, classy bars and gourmet restaurants of this seaside town. The bistro, populated by faithful regulars & guests alike serves up a great menu and there is a well-equipped health club for a quick work out or relaxing soak in the Jacuzzi.

Accommodation

The Urban Beach Hotel has 12 individually styled rooms, each designed with luxury & comfort in mind. Rooms range from cosy singles to large double rooms with king size beds and bay windows where the morning sun streams in. Every room is different, but all have an emphasis on luxurious comfort. Room 1 has a stunning black chandelier, Room 5 has a hand-painted Asian screen as an impressive headboard, while Room 11 has the ultimate in luxury touches, a big white suede bed surrounded by white leather furniture. Beds have fresh white Egyptian cotton linen, fogarty down bedding and stylish cushion covers. All rooms have fair trade tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary WiFi, plasma TVs with DVD players and DDI telephones and en-suite bathrooms with either baths or showers, soft white towels and Arran Aromatic toiletries.

The Urban Beach Hotel now has an additional 2 double bedroom apartment 100 metres away equipped with all the luxuries of the rooms plus a well-equipped kitchen. Guests of the apartment are welcome to have breakfast at the hotel and make use of all of the facilities.

Activities

Bournemouth is renowned for its 7 miles of soft golden sand. Try some of the water sports on offer before heading to the well-equipped local health club - where the Urban Beach Hotel have arranged complimentary use for all guests - for a relaxing sauna or cool off in the 25 metre swimming pool. There is also a steam room and Jacuzzi, and the gym has a selection of cardiovascular & resistance equipment. For a bit of pampering, a local masseuse offers in-room treatments back at the hotel.

Bournemouth's nightlife is fun & fancy free with a great selection of bars to choose from to start off the night and the shopping is great too. A little further afield is the world heritage Jurassic Coastline of the Purbecks, the New Forest and the ancient site of Stonehenge.

Dining

The bistro serves up a hearty menu from the 'Urban club sandwich' to a tasty Dorset crab or lamb tagine. All ingredients are locally sourced, and they have gone to great lengths to really source the finest most ethical local produce. For a pre-meal drink, the Urban Beach Bar has a range of gorgeous cocktails from Tanqueray & vermouth based treats to the 'Bitten Apple' with the taste of fresh baked strudel.

Rates

Rates at the Urban Beach Hotel are per room per night. There is a 2 night minimum stay over weekends and a 3 night minimum over bank holidays. A GBP 50 deposit is required when booking to secure the room. In some rooms, children's beds can be arranged which are charged between GBP 15-30.

More than 72 hours prior to arrival, the deposit will be refunded. Less than 72 hours prior to arrival, the first nights stay will be charged unless the room is re-let.
