Secret Bay

Secret Bay is a new boutique hotel experience hidden away on the unspoilt island of Dominica.  With just 4 bungalows and villas eco-retreat Secret Bay is the perfect honeymoon destination or for those looking for a bit of romance off the beaten track. Perched on a cliff top with far reaching views across the Caribbean, this luxury eco-resort has two beaches with crystal clear waters and benefits from two micro-climates. This Chic Retreat is possibly the most romantic spot in the Caribbean, but don't take our word for it, come and see for yourself.

Dominican-born Gregor Nassief fell in love with Secret Beach as a child and dreamed of one day owning and living on the land above it. Coming from a local family of hoteliers and businessmen, he always knew that this was the perfect spot on the island for developing a small-scale eco-tourism venture.  The process of purchasing pieces of land from different owners began nearly 15 years ago and with the support of his Venezuelan-born wife Sandra Vivas’s father and the celebrated architect Fruto Vivas his dream come true.

Secret Bay is a story of love: of a boy and a beach; of a man and a woman; and of a father and daughter.

Dominica is known for its unique flora and fauna and the adventures here are endless: rainforest, national parks, waterfalls, hot springs and a river for every day of the year. Active volcanoes, a boiling lake and world-class scuba diving are also activities to enjoy during your stay at Secret Bay. A visit to the Carib Territory on the East Coast should not be missed. Secret Bay's knowledgeable concierge is happy to organise bespoke days out and the “Waitukubuli Wanderer” is available with an excellent driver.

Everyone's idea of luxury and indulgence is to eat fresh locally-grown food every day. That is exactly what Secret Bay is all about: revelling in nature, engaging with the community and remembering to enjoy the simple things in life like sipping freshly-squeezed mango juice for breakfast.

If you are a foodie and love cooking then you won't be disappointed - at Secret Bay you have your own fully-equipped kitchen designed for just that. They can help you source local produce or you can have fun discovering exciting foods at the wonderful daily markets at Portsmouth or Roseau – Saturdays are particularly special.  Take a day off and enjoy one of the excellent personal chefs who will prepare a delicious meal for you in the privacy of your own villa or they can simply buy, chop and prep your food and leave it ready for you to come home and cook.  The Secret Bay organic kitchen garden provides fresh herbs and vegetables adding zesty flavours and crunch to your meals.
