Dunton Hot Springs, a member of Orchid Resorts & Escapes, is an exquisitely restored ghost town nestled in the Rockies of Colorado, USA. A old mining town made up of hand-built wooden cabins, Dunton Hot Springs serves world class cuisine and an exceptional spa experience. Though free from mobile phones this chic retreat provides WIFI and video conferencing if need be.

Accommodation

Choosing between the 12 log cabins at Dunton Hot Springs is a hard task - all are beautifully furnished, each with their own unique style & setting. We like the Major Ross Cabin which is just a few steps away from the saloon and has a little verandah for two. The Honeymoon Cabin is an original cabin from the 1800's which sits right next to the river. The large Rajasthan wedding bed emphasises the romantic ambience as does the large deck overlooking the water. Well House Cabin is the only cabin that is built around an on-demand hot spring, add to this stunning views and your own fireplace and you have the perfect chic retreat.

Potter House used to be the owner's home and is a large comfortable cabin which sleeps up to 10 people. This delightful house has 2 well-stocked ponds right next door allowing for your own private trout fishing.

Activities

The adventurous won't be disappointed by the unique experience that is Dunton Hot Springs; snow shoeing, hiking, camping, fly fishing, river rafting & horse riding are just a few of the activities to enjoy during your stay. For those looking for a little culture some of America's most interesting archaeological sites are within easy reach of this restored ghost town. Pampering massages & simmering hot springs are a welcome treat at the end of an exhilarating day in breathtaking surroundings.

Dining

The classically trained chef at Dunton Hot Springs creates a daily menu using the freshest local organic ingredients including some from the Dunton Hot Spring's own farm & vineyard. Guests can enjoy watching the chef at work in the open kitchen of the old Saloon. All guests eat at a large antique table - a tradition that has been maintained from the cattle outlaws. Picnics are tailor-made for your adventures whether fishing, hiking or simply enjoying the flowers of a nearby meadow. Start the day when you want and the chef will be delighted to prepare anything you like.

Rates

Rates at Dunton Hot Springs are per cabin. Additional guests are charged USD 300 per night. Rates include all meals and all beverages (excluding fine liquors and vintage wines on our Reserve List) but not tax or service.

A refundable 50% deposit on your entire stay is required to secure your reservation. There is no penalty for cancellations made more than 45 days prior to arrival date.
