About this Chic Retreat

Owned by husband and wife Chris Edwardes and Amanda Blanch, Blanch House Hotel combines excellent service with innovative design in a laid back atmosphere. The idea behind this hip hotel was to create a small friendly hotel with a big personality. Located in a discreet Gorgian terrace just off Brighton's seafront , the Grade II listed building offers 12 en-suite bedrooms all individually designed, an award winning 70's lounge-chic cocktail bar and a fabulous in-house restaurant.

Accommodation

Whether you are feeling decadent, romantic, sexy or relaxed, there is a room for you at Blanch House. Each room is en-suite with Trevi power showers and Molton Brown toiletries . The rooms also include Fogarty goose and duck down duvets and pillows, Reylon beds, hairdryers, telephones, Blanch House mineral water and coffee and tea making facilities . All rooms have flat screen TVs and DVD players, 4 rooms have air conditioning. (A selection of DVDs and CDs are available from reception for your viewing and listening pleasure). Champagne and flowers can also be arranged. Room rates include a fabulous continental breakfast or for just a little extra, you can enjoy a fantastic Full English, bubble and squeak or even vanilla scented French toast!

Activities

Blanch House is available for weddings and parties or just for a weekend or mid-week break. Guests can hire the whole hotel or individual rooms. The award-winning cocktail bar is located offers an eclectic range of superbly-made cocktails and can be a lively night spot, particularly at weekends. If you are after a tranquil break we would suggest coming to stay mid-week. Children and dogs are welcome, but again, weekends may be a little noisy for the kids. Brighton is a lively and hedonistic place, so come and have fun!

Dining

The cocktail bar is located on the ground floor of the 5 story building and offers a wonderful mix of exciting and contemporary drinks with any classic cocktail made to order. All cocktails are made with premium spirits, fresh fruit and purees with home-made syrups and a back bar to make anyone envious. Blanch House recently was announced as one of 4 finalists for 'best bar in Britain'and also won 'best customer service in the UK', not to mention 'best cocktail offering in Britain' and 'Class Bar Team of the Year', beating many of the top London bars. The restaurant at Blanch House is an in-house affair and all involved are dedicated to excellence in food, service and wines. You can sit back and take pleasure in a relaxed atmosphere either at lunch or dinner. The menu changes with the seasons to ensure that only the freshest, high quality produce is used. As the Sunday Telegraph said ' Blanch House serves the best food in Brighton'.

Rates

Rates are per room per night. Blanch House is particularly busy at weekends and early booking is recommended. Minimum two night stay over weekends (ie. Friday and Saturday night) and minimum stay applies over New Year.
