About this Chic Retreat

Le Relais de Franc Mayne is a 16th-century building is just 1km by foot along the old road to St. Emilion - very few places can boast such proximity - and it is only 40 minutes from Bordeaux and Bergerac. Nestled in the grounds of Chateau Franc Mayne (classified growth of Saint Emilion) this small boutique hotel has been beautifully restored.

Accommodation

The 12 rooms at Le Relais de Franc Mayne are exquisite - all en-suite and all decorated with flair and originality - gone are the pastel shades, instead the owners have used vibrant colours, silks and other luxurious materials. Each room has air-conditioning and is equipped with plasma TVs and DVD/CD players, iPod & iPhone docking stations. The French, Asian & Stella Di Mare rooms are the most spacious. The African Lodge and Out of Africa rooms are connected and suitable for families.  The newest two rooms Bordeaux Blend and Oxbridge also have complimentary Espresso Machines.

Activities

Included in the rate is a house wine-tasting and a visit to the Chateau's cellars. Saint Emilion is 15 minutes walk away. There are 2 drawing rooms - one with a billiard table and a computer with free Internet access. Le Relais de Franc Mayne also has a beautifully landscaped natural swimming pool. Six mountain bikes are for hire at EUR 19 per day.

Dining

Snacks & light meals and wines from the property can be ordered at any time. More elaborate lunches and dinners can be organised by prior arrangement, and are cooked using the freshest ingredients available.

Rates

Rates at Le Relais Franc Mayne are per room per night. Breakfast is EUR 18.80 per person. Taxes are EUR 0.44 per night per person. Guests are offered a complimentary tour of the property including wine tasting.
