About this Chic Retreat
Nestled in the Aquitaine countryside in Saint Quentin de Caplong, La Girarde is a gorgeous boutique B&B in a restored farmhouse. Close to the vineyards of St Emilion, Bergerac and Sainte Foy Bordeaux, this pretty stone hideaway is set in 6 hectares of park and woodland. The former home of Jean Piere Carrive, a founding member of the Surrealist movement, the property has now been fully renovated, with limestone tiles, geothermal heating, a fresh lick of Farrow & Ball paint and a salt-water outdoor pool. Your hosts Mark and Trish Tyler can provide delicious 3-course dinners on request, using locally-sourced organic produce wherever possible and guests can enjoy a delicious fresh breakfast out in the gardens.
Accommodation
There are just 4 rooms at La Girarde, each individually-decorated with a gorgeous Farrow & Ball palette, twin or queen-size beds fitted with Egyptian cotton bedding and handmade soft furnishings. The spacious en-suite bathrooms are just as luxurious, with L'Occitane en Provence bath products, large fluffy towels and separate WCs.
Activities
Relax by the swimming pool with a glass of fine local wine, enjoy walks through the woodlands and park surrounding La Girarde or take a wine tasting tour through the regions vineyards.
Dining
A seasonal 3-course menu can be ordered in advance for your evening meal, with a delicious set menu and children can have their own simple menu served a little earlier. There is a small wine list from a selection of good local producers to accompany your meal and teas, coffees, soft drinks, wines and beers are available throughout the day. For breakfast, enjoy fresh croissant and breads, homemade jams, fruit, yoghurt and juices out in the garden or in the dining room.
Rates
Rates at La Girarde are per room per night based on 2 people sharing and include breakfast. Extra beds can be arranged for EUR 15 per night. Children under 2 years stay free of charge. Evening meals are charged at EUR 25 per person (excl. drinks) and for children aged 2-10 breakfast costs EUR 2.50 and supper EUR 5. La Girarde is also available for exclusive rental on request.

Cancellation policy
100% payable if cancellation occurs up to 1 week before arrival. If room can be relet only first night forfeit. Cancellation up to 1 week before arrival 50%. Cancellation up to 1 month before arrival (high Season) 30%.
