About this Chic Retreat

The very name Lous Grits speaks of Gascony, known for its tradition of hospitality and gracious living.  Time seems to have stopped at this elegant 18th-century hotel that everybody would like to call home. Filled with earthenware, mosaics and splendid family furniture Lous Grits hotel has been beautifully restored and manages to combine elegance with rustic chic. The name Lous Grits is taken from an age-old Occitan proverb 'wherever there is a cricket, happiness is in the house'. New for 2012 is a 6th suite, spa and swimming pool, making Hotel Lous Grits a little hidden gem not to be missed!

Accommodation

There are 5 ultra comfortable rooms and suites at this small charming hotel, each with its own distinctive feel. Each one has a private terrace and sweeping views of the stunning countryside - those who love Tuscany will love it here.

Each room is named after the regions many winds from Balaguero to Mikejournal. The furniture has been designed and made by local craftsmen and the lighting provided by well known designers. Expect Farrow & Ball colour schemes, Pierre Frey lampshades and ceramics from Gascony among the beautiful pieces in each room. All rooms are en-suite with showers while the Soulano Suite has a relaxation bath. The Balaguero & Miejournal rooms can be combined to make a family suite.

Activities

Massages with fragrant oils can be arranged after a day out admiring the Gascony villages and surroundings. Golf and tennis is nearby and there are plenty of places for antiques lovers to explore.

Dining

There is no rush to get up at Hotel Lous Grits. Guests can stay in bed until midday and still enjoy a luxurious breakfast. Dinner can be ordered in the morning - there is no menu - and a season meal will be served using the freshest local and organic ingredients available that day.  The dining room is beautifully dressed each evening for dinner with pretty linen, candles and flowers making dinner at Lous Grits the perfect way to end the day. 

Rates

Rates at Hotel Lous Grits are per room per night and include VAT per day for 1 or 2 persons. Breakfast is EUR 20 per person. Dinner is EUR 40 per person. An additional bed can be arranged in Suite Soulano for EUR 35 per night.
