About this Chic Retreat
La Minervetta defines small is beautiful on Italy's Amalfi coast. There is no other small boutique hotel in the area that is this comfortable, this stylish and this relaxed. The owners have created a feel of contemporary refinement with dashes of tradition mixed with modern and antique furniture. The views from La Minervetta are spectacular - some rooms have glass windows as walls with 180 degree views and so you could be forgiven for spending all day in bed! La Minervetta was originally built as a restaurant by Don Giovanni Cacace and he passed on his passion and talent for cooking to his nephew Luigi ensuring that the restaurant became one of the best places to eat on the peninsula. After 30 years of management by outsiders the small chic hotel finally returned to the Cacace family in 2003. Signora Ada Cacace and her son Marco have transformed this boutique hotel into a bright, contemporary hip hotel and one of the most popular in the area which is why early booking is advisable.
Accommodation
Twelve en-suite rooms have been created and designed at La Minervetta with the help of Marco who is an Interior Designer. The result is light, bright and fresh and all rooms have sea views. The colours in each room range from cool white to sea blue, to luscious red - the combinations work beautifully and the en-suite bathrooms are a clever mix of old & new, contemporary & traditional. The Deluxe Rooms are really spacious with huge wall to wall windows across the sea and some have their own French balcony. The Superior Rooms are larger with the same views and light whilst the Junior Suite is the largest room with two large balconies and a Jacuzzi shower.
Activities
The sitting room at La Minervetta is open-plan, looking across the sea and on the terrace outside are sun loungers where guests can enjoy the sun or a siesta. For those wanting to walk into town it is only 15 minutes walk from the centre and from the restaurants & bars and during high season, guests can have access through private steps to the Marina Grande fishermen village. La Minervetta has a recently added a sun terrace with a cold-water jacuzzi pool.

Rates at La Minervetta include private parking on site, English breakfast, and service as well as access through private steps during the high season to Marina Grande fishermen village, solarium and plunge pool facilities.
Rates do not include the local tax of Euro 1.50 per person per night, to be paid in cash at check-out.
The local tax is applied from 1st April 2012 to 31st October 2012 (included) of each year.
Children up to 2 years old stay free of charge. For children between the ages of 3 and 12 there is an extra charge of EUR 50,00 during low and medium season and of EURO 80,00 for the addition of an extra bed or cot bed.
The availability of a cot, a cot bed, or an extra bed is not always guaranteed, therefore it needs to be requested by the guest with written confirmation from the hotel that it can be provided.

Cancellation policy
There is no penalty for cancellations 40 days prior to arrival day (excluded).
For cancellations from 39 days to 20 days prior to arrival day (excluded): 50% of the entire stay will be charged.
From 19 days prior to arrival day (excluded) , or in case of early departure, or in case of no show, the guest will be required to pay the full stay.
