About this Chic Retreat
Il Cannito is a small luxury hotel close to Paestum and the Cilento seaside. Cool, chic & relaxed and a well-kept secret, this boutique hotel is just minutes from a private beach and has a great restaurant. There are 4 elements that tell the story of this enchanting small luxury hotel; sun, rocks, trees and above all, the sea. Il Cannito consists of two ancient stone buildings which have been restored to their original splendour in keeping with the surrounding natural beauty. Contemporary design has been cleverly used and mixed with local materials and traditional ideas. The beams have been skilfully restored and large windows have been designed to maximise the transition from the indoors to outside.
Accommodation
The 4 bedrooms are elegant, uncluttered and understated. Cool whites with the occasional dash of colour create a feeling of relaxation and barefoot chic throughout. All rooms have underfloor heating with air conditioning and private and shared sun decks which look across the trees and countryside beyond. The baths are either hydro massage or hydro sonic and internet access is complimentary in all of the rooms.
Activities
Il Cannito has a large swimming pool with views out to the hills. The private beach is just 10 minutes away by complimentary transfer. For those guests looking to stay closer to home there are some great lounging areas in and around Il Cannito. Divans and sunshades have been designed to give the feeling of an outdoor living space and are just a short stroll away amongst the Mediterranean flora that surrounds the hotel. Grab a book and stroll barefoot to your own little hideaway. The area is full of history and archaeological finds. The city of Paestum was founded at the start of the 7th century BC and originally takes its name from Poseidon, God of the sea.
Dining
The restaurant serves a selection of delicious local dishes and in the Summer lunch and dinner are served on the terrace where guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Capri. Guests can also sample the home made produce which includes jams and traditional liqueurs.

Rates at Il Cannito are per room per night and include taxes, breakfast and transfers to and from the beach with two sunbeds and parasol (10 minutes away).
The price for children until 6 years is : 50 euros per night and 6 years to 15 years is : 80 euros per night
