About this Chic Retreat

Casa do Largo is in the historic town of Crato in Alto Alentejo, 2 hours from Lisbon. The renovation of this old family house has been done in tune with the local colours and traditions. There is a welcoming and warm atmosphere matched by the attention to detail throughout the rooms which have been lovingly restored.

Accommodation

Five of the rooms are in the main house and the other 2 have their own terraces which give direct access to the swimming pool. The rooms are named after colours and are decorated accordingly. The orange room is warm and has a lovely large window filling it with light. The blue room is tranquil and romantic with a contemporary bathroom. Flower is bright, light and fresh with splashes of flowers in the room and bathroom. Olive is sophisticated and has a balcony with charming views across the Alentejo plains. The red suite has a richness and opulence to it with a striking and large bathroom. Disability access is available.

Activities

There is a pretty small garden near the swimming pool which is transformed at night with lit candles. The sitting room leads onto the swimming pool during the Summer months. The hotel can arrange traditional horse and cart rides around the town. Horse riding and fishing can also be arranged.

Dining

Breakfast is served in the blue lounge. The bread is fresh and home made as is the orange juice and the delicious jams. Light snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and dinners can be arranged on request.

Rates

Rates at Casa do Largo are per room per night and include breakfast and VAT. Cot (max. 8 months old) is 15 euros. Extra bed for up to 3 years is 30 euros. Additional bed for 12 year olds is 40 euros. Reduced rates apply when booking for more than one night.
