Each of the 7 rooms at Claremont Country Estate has its own individual charm with country views over the lovely park-like gardens and farmland to spectacular mountains beyond. There are also 2 separate superb self-contained cottages which are available on a B & B tariff and are ideal for families travelling together.
Activities
Guests have the use of 2 extremely comfortable and gracious living rooms with warm open fireplaces, an extensive library, shady vine-clad verandas and sunny stone walled paved courtyards. There is an all-weather tennis court, badminton and lawn croquet. Simply relax and unwind or enjoy the many activities available on-site or nearby. Claremonte Estate is only an hour and a half scenic drive to Kaikoura and whale watching, and about 50 minutes' drive to Hanmer Springs spa and thermal pools. Some of the world's renowned golf courses, trout, salmon fishing rivers & hunting are within an easy drive of Claremont Estate.
Dining
Claremont has its own in-house chef who creates imaginative and delicious food using the freshest, local ingredients including organic home grown vegetables. Hosted pre-dinner drinks are followed by the fabulous four-course dinner served in the pavilion dining room.

Room Rates for 2009
Rates include dinner, bed and breakfast and a Land Rover safari tour for those staying more than 2 nights. Rates do not include GST at 12.5%. Bed and Breakfast rates available. Two night minimum stay in all rooms from the 24th December to the 2nd January.

Cancellation Policy
To make a booking or reservation, a credit card guarantee is required together with a refundable booking deposit (subject to the cancellation policy terms) of a nominal NZ$250.00. More than 30 days in advance of arrival date - an administration fee of $250.00.
Within 30 days of arrival date - the tariff for one night is charged.
Within 14 days of arrival date - 100% is charged.
Peak season bookings (24th December to 2nd January) cancelled within 60 days - 100% is charged.
Group bookings cancelled within 60 days - 100% is charged.

Children of 14 years or older are welcome in the Lodge. For those with younger children we suggest The Claremont Cottage or the Owner's Retreat.
