Perfect peace and quiet,'is how designer, Diana von Cranach, describes her hip hideaway hotel, Puri Ganesha, in the north west of Bali. Located in a secluded spot, Puri Ganesha Villas sits between mossy green mountains and the warm sea. For interior designer Diana von Cranach, it was love on sight when she first came here 10 years ago. Having bought some land, she was determined to create a small chic hotel which, rather than being an alien presence, respected local building traditions and offered training and jobs for the community.

Puri Ganesha Villas is a cosy, exclusive, laid back luxury hideaway offering spacious two-storey villas in the tranquility of Pemuteran Bay, near the National Park on the north west coast of Bali. 50 km from Singaraja, 130 km from Denpasar and the airport.

Accommodation - 4 Rooms

Puri Ganesha has 4 two storey, thatched Balinese style villas on 400 mtrs of beachfront, each with 360 m2 living space, first floor master bedroom with adjoining shower bathroom, A/C, ground floor twin bedroom with large open garden bathroom, very spacious dining and living areas, large terraces facing the beach, beautifully decorated with Indonesian furniture and fabrics. CD/Cassette player and IDD telephone. Each accommodation has the luxury of 2 bathrooms - one inside and one outside and guests can hear the sound of the ocean from their villas at night.

Activities

Each villa at Puria Ganehsa has a seawater swimming pool lined with Java blue stone, shadowed by large urns, ferns, cashew trees and coconut palms. There are 2 Balinese staff to every house and you can eat in your villa or at the beachside restaurant. A PADI diving school is just down the road, and it's an easy day-trip to Pulau Menjangan, an uninhabited island regarded as one of the best dive sites off Bali. You can visit Java, which you can see from the beach, take up yoga or go on an Ayurvedic diet.
