Torre Coccaro is the name of this Masseria built in the 16th-century, that was restored in 2002 bringing it back to the antique splendour as a charming boutique hotel whilst respecting the nature of the masseria itself. The Masseria is today a five star small luxury hotel, a relaxing oasis of tranquillity where the guests will experience the natural and simple lifetime of the past. As many other Apulian Masserias, situated just 2 km from the sea, Torre Coccaro was a sighting tower built in order to avoid the attacks of the Turkish pirates and the Saracens. With the passing of time the Masserie have been used for the production of the green gold: the olive oil and Torre Coccaro is in the biggest producing area of high quality olive oil in Italy.

Accommodation - 39 Rooma & Suites

Most of the 39 rooms & suites have their own private little garden facing the olive grove territory of the Fasano planes, 2 rooms are in the antique caves, one of which is a very large suite "the Orange Suite" with its own private 200 sqm ancient garden in which, a little private pool with a jacuzzi which has been built from an old water reservoir. Meanwhile there are rooms in the tower where guests can enjoy views of the blue sea from the little spy windows.

Activities

New for 2008 is a riding centre which offers lessons to all ages. Guests can enjoy promenades through the olive groves and along the sandy beach. There is an Aveda Spa Health Club (even a hairdresser) that has been created in a stone cave formerly used to accommodate sheep! The shower in the Spa is like a waterfall and treatment rooms have original stone walls, giving a rustic feel. Other Spa facilities include a small indoor pool and Jacuzzi as well as a Turkish bath and a gym. The treatments follow the Aveda philosophy and some treatments use the local traditions such us the hair treatment made with capers handpicked from the Masseria's estate.

Masseria Torre Coccaro has a stunning beach-style pool which nestles amongst the olive trees and palms. An old Tufara where the stones were cutted to build the Masseria is now an orchard for the organic produce used in the restaurants of the Masseria. The sea is so close and the sandy beaches are next to the cleanest sea of apulia - of course a private beach has been reserved for the guests of the Masseria. Coccaro Beach Club sits on a beautiful sandy beach with dunes, with a fish and sushi restaurant, massage pavillons and outdoor lounges. There is a private boat for trips to the caves and cliffs of the local coast that reach Polignano.

Dining

The Restaurant Egnathia under the oldvaulted ceiling gives guests the choice between the traditional apulian cuisine or the creative mediterranean cuisine with all the product produced organically at the Masseria or taken fresh from the Adriatic Sea. In the summertime the Cabana Snack Bar at the swimming pool will serve delicious light lunches of vegetables, barbecued delicacies burrate and mozzarelle. In the evening guests can sip the drinks prepared by the Barman at the bar under the fresco of the antique Roman columns or in front of the fireplace in the stables.

Cancellation Policy
From the 28th to the 15th day before the arrival penalty of 30% on the total amount. From the 14th to the 8th day before the arrival penalty of 70% on the total amount. From the 7th before the arrival and no-shows penalty of 100% on the total amount.
