La Villa Hotel already has a reputation as the most relaxing, indulgent and comfortable boutique hotel in the area. Originally built for a wealthy local benefactor, the property has undergone careful and thoughtful renovation to restore many of the old country features typical of the area. La Villa Hotel currently accommodates up to 20 guests with suites, double and single rooms, all with antique and period furniture purchased in the local area. La Villa is set in the Piedmont (Piemonte in Italian) region, home of many of Italy's (and the world's) finest wines including Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Brachetto, Gavi, Asti, Grignolino, Dolcetto and Moscato. The Monferrato hills alone are home to over 40 DOC and 6 DOCG wines and there are several wine producers who offer wine tastings within 5 minutes of the hotel, together with one of Italy's most renowned Grappa manufacturers - Berta.

The 11 rooms at La Villa Hotel have been designed to suit all requirements - from single rooms to complete apartments - making it ideal for a single visitor or for families and groups. The layout of the rooms has also been designed to be extremely flexible, so that larger parties or families can take over a complete area or wing of this country house hotel, with friends, children, or nannies accommodated in neighbouring rooms, with private access to the group of rooms. There is also a mix of styles throughout the hotel, from the exotic Moroccan room to the refined French Quarter and the rustic Italian style rooms with their lustrous woods and wrought iron furnishings. Many of the rooms have private balconies or terraces where guests can relax or use one of the barbeques for a relaxed al fresco meal. All of the rooms have individual air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD and CD player (on request), telephone, internet point and other amenities.

Activities

Landscaped gardens surround La Villa Hotel and there is a bar, wine tasting room and some lovely sun terraces. The swimming pool has views along the valley, and there is also a games room. The area is also well known for horse riding, cycling and walking and, within a reasonable distance there are golf, shooting and fishing. Most importantly, the owners can arrange wine and grappa visits and tastings, from Barbera to Barolo and Barbaresco. The area surrounding La Villa Hotel has the highest concentration of gourmet restaurants in all of Italy.
