"This five-suite hotel with is owned by wealthy lawyer turned art collector Dimitris Tsitouras and was opened in 1988. The suites are themed on the sea, on Byron, on Tsitouras's porcelain collection and on images of his friend, the late Rudolf Nureyev. He has crammed each suite with works from his private art collection and furnished them with antiques and archaeological treasures. The Tsitouras Collection's celebrity status was sealed when Gianni Versace booked it for a month-long party. Moschino soon followed and the rich and famous continue to sail through its cliff-top doors. The decor can be a little intimidating, but its staff, led by Tsitouras's daughter Eleni, are as friendly and relaxed as only Greek islanders can be. Dimitris Lazarou, the general manager and chef, is a culinary hero. " Condé Nast Traveller, April 2003
