Jardins de Saint Benoît in the beautiful village of St. Laurent de la Cabrerisse is the perfect place for a memorable family holiday. It is impossible not to feel right at home in these rustic maisons, and there is something for everyone, from adventure sports to wine tasting and historical tours. The Saint Benoît estate covers 20-acres and has its own vineyard, spa, pedestrianised streets and squares, and it is perfectly placed for exploring the Languedoc.

Accommodation - 148 Village Houses & 23 Maisons Vigneronnes

There are 2 types of houses to choose from. Maisons Vigneronnes are fashioned in the traditional style of a winemaker's home and have a large garden & private pool, and Village Houses are cosy traditional Mediterranean retreats with a private terrace & small garden rich in native blooms. Houses range from 1-5 bedrooms, and a 5 bedroom Maisons Vigneronnes can sleep 10. All homes have a fully-equipped kitchen, air-conditioned bedrooms and the amount of bathrooms increases with the size of the house. The Maison Vigneronnes have spacious living areas with wonderful views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. With the classic Garrigae Resort style which marries traditional French design with contemporary modern style, the interior uses a calm and classy palette to create a relaxed and comfortable chic retreat. All houses have a Satellite flat screen TV, DVD player, Hi-fi, WIFI, terrace with table & chairs and sun loungers, and some have their own washer/dryer and BBQ.

Activities

The Jardins de Saint Benoît estate has an array of beautiful gardens, boule courts and a large heated outdoor swimming pool. The luxury spa with indoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam rooms, hydrotherapy zone, sauna and steam rooms offers a range of relaxing spa treatments which use the local fruits and flowers of the Languedoc. Jardins de Saint Benoît has its very own vineyard, Medieval Gardens and olive grove, and adults and children alike are welcome to participate in traditional wine-making and harvesting courses, and wine tasting sessions. There is also a farm on site, fun for all the family and a vegetable garden. There are many cultural sites to visit, in particular the historic towns of Carcassonne and Narbonne, and a variety of sports such as horse-riding, white water rafting and tennis in the vicinity. With stunning beaches, Carcassonne's golf course, myriad markets & shops and interesting architecture all close to hand, guests of Saint Benoît are spoilt for choice. The excellent children's club is open during the French school holidays.

Dining

Guests can dine in the relaxed bistro-style restaurant, which serves up a variety of tasty Mediterranean dishes. For those who want to dine in the comfort of their own home or terrace, the grocery service has a variety of meats and cheeses and fresh bread can be bought from the St Laurent bakery. There is a mouthwatering selection of local wines to choose from, some from the Jardins de Saint Benoît's very own vineyard, and guests can sample the very best in southern wines in the estate's wine tasting sessions. The bar has wonderful views of the village, pool and gardens, and is the perfect spot to sample the local tipples.

Rates at Jardins de Saint Benoît are per townhouse, per night or for 7 day packages as indicated. Children 0-12 years stay free of charge. 4-12 years breakfast EUR 7, child's menu EUR 10. Extra bed from 13 years up EUR 30 per bed, per night. Children's club EUR 10 per child. * One night rates are not available during high and very high season.
