Château de Rochegude sits in the northern part of Provence which is well known for its good wines, seasonal fruits as well as for the black diamond truffle. This area is still unspoilt and full of charm and character. The hotel itself overlooks the Côtes du Rhône Valley with its vineyard and the outline of Mount Ventoux can be seen from the terraces. The fascinating history of the Chateau goes back many centuries and it is even mentioned in the Roman archives just 300 AD as the stopping place on the Via Agrippa linking Orange to Viason-la-Romaine. The main building was rebuilt in the 16th and 17th century leaving the 12th century tower intact.


Accommodation - 25 Rooms

The 23 rooms and 2 apartments are as varied as the Northern part of the vineyard! Each one has its own character, bouquet, colour and space. Provencal materials were originally used throughout the rooms before the current owners. The newly decorated rooms are moving away from this style to a more contemporary feel with soft cool tones of beiges and creams. All the rooms have air conditioning. The renovated rooms are the ones we recommend as the mix of colours in the older rooms don't really work as well as they once did in the 1980's!
