Blue Sturgeon, a small luxury B & B, in the style of a boutique hotel, situated in the small port of Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet, the 'village of caviar', famous for being the first place in Europe to produce caviar in the 1920's. Design-aware rather than design fashion slaves Blue Sturgeon is more Notting Hill than Terence Conran. The house is an original architectural gem 300 years old - a ruin for 200 years - and it has an atmosphere which the owners try and build on allowing its own personal statement to permeate. Clients come to the Blue Sturgeon to get away & relax, more like an old London club in France.

The 4 rooms at Blue Sturgeon are spacious & contemporary, painted in a selection of soft Farrow and Ball colours. The rooms at this small chic B & B are all different with antique furniture and modern design pieces.
Activities
Pierre Berge, the co-founder of YSL is soon to open a caviar museum and bistro on the port in association with Prunier caviar restaurant in Paris. Saint-Seurin d'Uzet has as many sunshine hours as Nice in the Côte d'Azur and with some of the finest vineyards in the world. Some of the best beaches of the Atlantic are just 10 minutes away from Blue Sturgeon as are several bars and restaurants. Horse riding, tennis, cycling, and fishing are all nearby. Blue Sturgeon has a large park with lake and a charming swimming pool which backs onto fields of sunflowers.
Dining
The owner Robert is an accomplished artist and a talented cook, so try if you can to arrange to have dinner at the Blue Sturgeon (35 Euro per person or 75 Euro per person to include Caviar!). The locally produced red and white wines are delicious and Robert will gladly get some for you to go with your freshly prepared food.
