The enchanting Chateau de Miotz is a grand chambre d'hote set in 50 hectares of its own beautiful parkland. Renovated in 2009, luxurious and elegant fabrics adorn the bedrooms and the rooms are spacious and luxuriously furnished. Traditional elegance has been given a contemporary twist in this completely refurbished chic retreat and light streams in from the large windows creating an airy & fresh feel. Stained glass windows cast beautiful colours on the stair cases and the chateau has its very own chapel. Close to the Spanish border, Biarritz and Bayonne, beaches, mountains and plenty of golf courses, there is plenty to do around this luxury B&B.

Accommodation - 5 rooms
There are 5 rooms in the Chateau de Miotz, 3 of which are suites. Sumptuous soft fabrics cover the queen-size beds, and contemporary elegant designs decorate the walls with traditional flock prints in calm & classy colours against deep purple bedding, or light floral blues complimenting the blonde wood flooring. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with baths, and suites also have showers. The L'Artzamendi suite fits 2-4 people with a canopy bed and a sofa that turns into a double in the living room. Rooms are a spacious 30 sqm while suites are between 60 and 65 sqm, and the L'Adour and La Rhune suites have small private balconies. All rooms come with bathrobes, hair dryer, slippers, free internet and LCD flatscreen TV.
Activities
Chateau de Miotz is close to the lovely seaside resort Saint Jean de Luz where Basque architecture blends with Spanish Andalusian styles and Moorish elements in this famous fishing port. Stylish Biarritz is a mere 30 minutes away with it's stretches of sandy beaches. Famous for surfing, novices can take a course, and for a bit of relaxation there are several thalassotherapy centres. Situated on the coast, there are a wide variety of watersports near Chateau de Miotz, including boating.
Bayonne is only 15 minutes away and for fantastic views, take to the nearby mountains. For those who want to relax back at the chateau, there is a salon and dining room, a coffee corner and some lovely terrace & balcony areas, or of course there is the huge area of parkland to explore where guests can play petanque. The chatea has its own outdoor swimming pool and provides guests with towels and robes while they relax by the pool. Golfers will not be disappointed as there are a large number of courses, all easily accessible from the chateau.
Dining
Cheateau de Miotz is a B & B and there is a breakfast buffet in the dining room with cereal, fruit juice,coffee, tea, vienoissorie and bread, fromage blanc, cheeses, hardboiled eggs, joghurt, fresh fruit, honey and jams. Jambon and hot breakfast is also served for a supplement of EUR 5. For other meals, there are plenty of areas to explore, and being on the coast, fish is a must. Saint Jean de Luz is a fantastic fishing port, a great place to sample the local seafood. If guests wish to dine in, a simple menu can be served.
