The focus at Middle Piccadilly Spa Retreat is on the treatments and not the accommodation or facilities. No TV, radio, phones, papers, computers, smoking or alcohol. Just nutritious food top therapies, countryside, sleep and time. It is a place for those who want hard core treatments with a 'no frills' environment and we cannot emphasise this enough. Often referred to as the 'alternative health farm', Middle Piccadilly Spa Retreat is renowned for its peaceful atmosphere, superb vegetarian cuisine and five star natural complementary therapies. Set in the beautiful Dorset countryside, Middle Piccadilly is a fully residential Natural Healing Centre. Chic Retreats has visited Middle Piccadilly on numerous occasions and we haven't slept or relaxed as much anywhere else we have ever stayed. This gem is for those people who genuinely want to escape for a few days and return revived and ready to take on the world. Middle Piccadilly is unlike the large impersonal health farms which are geared more towards cosmetic treatments, here you are treated as a whole person - a parcel of mind, body, emotions and spirit and therapists talk about which treatments would be most helpful, rather than picking them randomly off a menu.

Accommodation - 6 Rooms

Accommodation here is rustic and certainly not luxurious in any way - do not expect upmarket hotel accommodation - it is a retreat where the treatments are the priority. The owners are in the process of refurbishing the rooms with one double completed so far so please ensure that you request this room at the time of booking as we recommend you wait to go when it is available as it is by far the best (it has it's own en-suite whilst the others don't and can be rather basic). The accommodation is simple (rustic chic), not luxurious and it doesn't need to be with what is on offer.

Activities

Middle Piccadilly's aim is to relieve their guest of all pressures and stresses of modern life. The extensive list of treatments include; acupressure, aquadetox, ayurvedic, massage, clay treatments, flower essences, indian head massage, la stone, movement shiatsu, reflexology, reiki, shiatsu, subtle energetics, therapeutic massage, thermoauricular therapy, yoga. There are many places of interest that our guests can explore in this beautiful Wessex countryside; mellow and historic towns, such as Sherborne, picturesque exquisite gardens like Stourhead, and the coast with unspoilt beaches not too far away.

Dining

Meals are vegetarian and however much you do eat you will still find some weight loss at the end of the weekend due to the natural food served.

Room Rates for 2009

Rates are per person based on double occupancy and exclude VAT at 17.5%. All Rates include full board, lodging and consultation. The number of aquaspa sessions vary according to the number of nights. Additional treatments can be chosen by the guest and added to the package.
