In 1492 Schloss Prielau was built and before the Porsche family bought the castle it was the family castle of Hugo von Hofmannsthal, one of Austria's most popular writers and founder of the Salzburg Festival. This romantic castle has its own fishing grounds and a small baroque chape within the estate. Schloss Prielau is the perfect small hotel for those guests looking for relaxation, good food and activity - whether it be golf or fishing in the summer or riding and ski-ing in the winter.
