Hotel Detail
Dar Yaoumi is the best Marrakech riad in our portfolio for a couple or young family looking for luxury, contemporary interiors, privacy and personal service. As the riad has only 2 rooms, it is available for exclusive rental only and would be a perfect choice for honeymooners. The young manager Nahil speaks fluent French and English and will organize a tagine to enjoy on the roof terrace, book a table at a restaurant to suit your tastes and budget in town and pop out to the hypermarche to buy wine or beer on request.
The riad is on the bijou side, but is a perfect pad for two as there’s a small salon on the ground floor with an ornamental pool studded with sparkling LED lights, a second mini-salon on the first floor and a roof terrace furnished with sun loungers, bbq and WC. Owner Pierre Giraud has great taste in artwork, an eye for detail and a big heart. All argan oil-based bathroom products are by Kaeline, a French brand produced locally by a women’s co-operative and the riad has a tiny carbon footprint thanks to good insulation, low-voltage lighting and carbon-offsetting with The Pure Trust which finances eco-friendly projects around the world. For every booking at the riad there’s also a contribution to the Bill Clinton Foundation which is dedicated to eradicating the global HIV/Aids pandemic.

Accommodation - 2 Rooms
Tea for two? Just 2 very private double rooms. The main bedroom is well-lit with an en-suite bathroom and high ceilings that are typical of a riad. The second bedroom is small but the double bed could sleep two children comfortably.
Activities
Dar Yaoumi has access to spa facilities round the corner from the riad. Guests are lent a local mobile phone and a business card with the number printed on it which makes planning the day’s events so much easier. The riad’s location just a couple of minutes from Place Jemaa El Fna and the adjoining souks mean that shopping will be a breeze and if you think your haggling skills haven’t bagged you the best price for a carpet, just call Nahil for advice. The riad has WIFI throughout so bring your laptop to get in touch with the world at a moment’s notice.
Dining
Dar Yaoumi has a small kitchenette perfect for preparing simple dishes, but the traditional Moroccan meals that Nahil offers guests are usually cooked off-site. Tasting tagine at least once is a must in Marrakech, but you’ll find that eating it every lunch and dinner is a little much. Nahil has a list of recommended restaurants that he is happy to book in advance.
